In Belgium, the Royal Decree of 13 May 2017 creates – in implementation of Article 8 quinquies of the Law dated 7 December 1998 organising a two-level structured integrated police service – a Standing Commission of the Local Police (SCLP) and it governs its composition and functioning.
The Standing Commission of the Local Police is involved in several advisory bodies such as the Integrated Police Coordination Committee or the Police Federal Council.
